The next generation Hyundai Santa Fe will be called IX45 and this is rendering and spyshot

The Hyundai Santa Fe is Mid-size crossover SUV that start sale since 2000 and replace 2nd generation in 2006.The biggest market for the SUV is United state as they can sold average around 75,000 unit a year there.Consider that it’s very consistent and not show sign that there will be slow in demand.Unfortunately,the car will not sell well in Europe as the demand for as big as this size of SUV is very fews.

The new Santa Fe will be called IX45 as Hyundai change new prefict to start with IX for company SUV which will join IX 35 that arrive before (while passenger car start with i). The new Santa Fe will grow slightly in size, helping to bring it closer to Chevrolet Equinox,Ford Edge and Honda Pilot.Expect around 4.8-4.9 meter long.

The styling will fallow new Hyundais with more fluid shape, curb,flow,sharp and beautiful.It will have bigger grille and higher place of headlight. motorauthority report that under its hood it should borrow the same engines from current car which should be 4 cylider petrol and V6.Hot on heel is 278 hp 2.0 liter turbo engine with direc injection (GDI) to give it a better chance against the competition .While the new CRDi diesel Euro 6 R-2.0 engine, with 150 hp seem like only limit in europe. is expect to debut.mate with 6 speed manual gearbox and 6 speed automatic transmission

The car is expect to debut at New York Motor Show at April this year.Sale start should be in October 2012.
