The offering from Fiat for global compact car segment currently is Bravo which come as hatchback form since 2007 and spawn to sedan version called Fiat Linea. The Bravo main target is in Europe.The sale volume is not much as Fiat want and a long way be hide the Focus and Astra. The Fiat alilance plans to replce the two around 2012-2013 and this time autoten have leaked image of the next generation Fiat Linea compact sedan
This picture is supposed in some of European car magazine.The styling in very close to final stage.Autoten can say that if the car not have sudden change,The car will production version of the car will look like this.Design to compet with Focus,Cruze,Civic and Corolla at main stream compact segment and will be spawn to Dodge and Chrysler version.
Base on CUSW (C-EVO US Wide) platform is a lengthened and widened version of C-EVO platform which based in car like Alfa Romeo Giulietta.The US version will be introduced this January at the Detroit auto show. It will be assembled in Belvidere , Illinois,
Automotive News report that the car will get Fiat-derived engine technology will include a 1.4-liter engine equipped with MultiAir variable valve timing mated to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. A 2.4-liter version of Chrysler’s global four-cylinder engine made in Dundee, Mich., also will be available.
Anyway,The same platform will be base new compact hatchback and compact crossover.

Creo que a la Fiat le hace falta un sedán sustituto del Fiat Marea, que fue un magnífico coche en su momento, con una gran personalidad, cómodo y fiable. Y que tenga personalidad en su estilo y bonito. Y que no sea demasiado grande, de 4,40 ó 4,50m.
