Autoten posts a scoop of next generation RAV4 (410A codename)at march last year.information that we have a year ealier that the engine will be 4 cylinder 2500 CC (2AR-FE) and 4 cylinder 2000 CC engine (3ZR-FE) for Europe.

As current generation Rav4 are devided in two body style,A shorter wheelbase for European market and longer wheelbase version with 3 row and 7 seat in North American market ( Also offer in Japan called Vanguard).

The latest information we receive from Japanese’s Mag-x that the new model will integrate to one wheelbase. The length of the New RAV4 is about 4,500 mm, which between the length of the current RAV4 (EU spec) and Vanguard/Rav4 US’s spec.Some reason because SUV sales in the USA are dropping and Toyota will have higher cost if making 2 version.

Although Mag-x reports a 3500 CC V6 engine for USA last year but after update the information,they report that Toyota plans to replace the 3500CC  V6 engine of the current model with a hybrid version equipped with a 2.5 L petrol engine.That because price of the petrol has been significantly increased.

The car will hit Japan’s market in October 2012
