Apart from New Yaris and Etios,Toyota May launch two more small car by 2013

According to Japan’s Chunichi Shimbun newspaper and a leading foreign news agency,Toyota Motor Corp is in the process of developing a new low-cost car for buoyant markets like China and Southeast Asia. The report says that the car is supposed to be launched by the year 2012 which will be price under $11,520.Autoten’s source reports that this car will based on Etios Platform but the body will got reskin both outside and insise.
Autoten also got report from cardekho.com that Toyota is planning to launch yet another small car in the Indian market. This new small car will be launched by 2012 from its Daihatsu range of cars. Dato Akira Okabe, senior managing director and member of the Toyota Motor Corporation board said that the small cars of the Daihatsu range are doing quite well in markets like Indonesia and Malaysia and they are studying the Indian market for launching the Daihatsu brand. The launch of the new brand would be across all passenger vehicle segments including the entry-level 600 cc.
This new compact car of Daihatsu series will be based on Vios or Yaris , the sub-compact models. Also, this new model will have an additional localisation of around 30-40 percent. This will make the new model quite cost competitive in markets like India, China, Brazil, etc. Daihatsu has also got plans for introducing its own small car in the Indian market by 2012 which will make three small car Toyota models in the Indian market.
