Although Porsche has denied a smaller version of the Porsche Cayenne at late 2009 but According to the German newspaper Handelsblatt, a Porsche insider said that the company’s plans for the upcoming mid-size SUV are in an advanced stage and according to reports coming out of Germany, Porsche’s board approved this car in late July. here is rendering of porsche baby chayenne from Auto Bild.
Auto Bild reports that Porsche is developing a new Crossover which will slot below the Cayenne and fight the best from BMW and Mercedes. The new Crossover will be based on Audi Q5 platform but the current one Q5 , or next generation Q 5 is depend on how quickly Porsche wants to introduce it into the market.
The new Crossover engine will include V6 petrol and diesel engines from Audi:
3.0 V6 TFSI with 300 bhp,
3.0 V6 TDI 250 to 300 bhp,
3.0 Liter V6 TSI 350 bhp Hybrid,
Porsche might also thrown in a V8 with generate about 500 bhp or even an S model with 575 bhp to rival with Mercedes AMG and BMW M division.
