While the new Volkswagen Passat sedan will makes its debute at late 2011 (update:Deley from late 2010). but wagon version or “Variant,”  is due approximately one year after the launch of the sedan.
Autoten.com show you rendering and spyshot from motorauthority.These spy photos reveal a design that appears both longer and wider than the existing Passat. This suggests that  the new Passat will be larger than the car it’s replace.

The new car use of lightweight materials in its construction should ensure a lighter kerb weight and improved mileage.the new car also consist of many high technology  including airless tires, a wiperless window cleaning system, and an advanced user interface.

For sedan Passat,As we reported before,Base engine is the 1.2 TSI unit with 105 hp, which replaces the old 1.6 . At the top of the petrol range is the 211 hp version of the 2.0 TFSI engine used, that the Passat as fast at 100 km / h, acceleration as the 3.2 V6 version.

For Variant Passat some media report  say that the top of the line  will be 3.0 liter with direct injection will replace R36’s 3.6-liter engine.There may also be an electronic stability system with a feature that automatically offers counter-steering assistance in adverse driving conditions.
