2012 Jaguar’s BMW 3 series competitor rendering and information
according to a UK publication,Jaguar has been given the green light to produce a small two-door sports car as well as a medium-sized saloon to take on the likes of BMW’s 3 Series and a long wheelbase version of the XF for the Chinese market and a wagon version of the XF.
Since then, the Indians dominate at Jaguar, the aggressiveness is returned to the traditional brand.
“Our key advantages should be speed to market and agility, that should be the DNA of any small company,”Tata vice chairman Ravi Kant said.
Kant admitted that a small Jag is being considered: “We’re having a debate about a small car. It has to happen if you want to keep the brand alive. We need an entry-level car.” we will have learned that with hard on a “Baby Jaguar” . The new model will be position below the XF, replace the X-Type and intentionally standing up against the 3 Series from BMW.
Jaguar could draw on the 275 horsepower 3 liter V6 turbo diesel.the baby Jaguar will hit market in 2012 and compete against the BMW 3 Series. A hybrid version will hit the market in 2015.
