Volkswagen confirmed Up concept to named Lupo,hit market in 2011
Volkswagen has confirmed that its new small car base on Up!concept show at various exhibitions. Volkswagen was immediately clear that the production version would be called Lupo. The model will replace current Fox which not with no longer available on the shopping list of many automotive consumer. Production of the new Lupo will be held in Bratislava (the capital of Slovakia)
Volkswagen begins sales of the new Lupo in the summer of 2011. The small city car will technically become completely obsolete Fox replacement . Besides a 3.45 meters long three-door model with 180 liters luggage is also a 15 inch long (15 inch = 38.1 cm)5-door version is planned with more space for rear passengers and luggage. all Lupo car will be 1.63 meters wide and 1.50 meters high. With a length of 3.45 meters for the 3-door version is the youngest two feet shorter than the Polo.

For 2013 there is an electric version of the Lupo. Moreover, Volkswagen expects no rush for that version: “Until 2020 we expect a share of 2 percent. It will be a real niche product, “says a spokesman.
Prices are likely to receive 8500 euros ( aproximately near the price of European a-segment like Toyota Aygo,Citroen C1). The buyer will get ESP, but will have to do without power steering. The same goes for things like central locking, seat height adjustment and electric window switches.
In 2013,Volkswagen will introduce an MPV variant of the car . Seat gets his new baby in 2012 (both 3 – and 5-door) and Skoda in 2012 (five-door) / 2013 (MPV) . Goal is to make 600,000 units annually for all variants. That is twice as much as Toyota, Peugeot and Citroen to copies of the direct competitors Aygo, 107,C1 respectively. VW is investing 308 million euros in the project. It is intended that the Lupo will produce in India , but the TSI / TDI engines replaced with material from Suzuki. That fact is much cheaper to produce.
