Toyota plans to develop its Corolla based on Toyota Yaris platform.Turning to the low cost of development and production.Toyota is already on this road for some time, but now gets a larger process of investment to lower costs.
This new Corolla will have a new platform shared with the compact Yaris. Because it is easier and cheaper, the Yaris platform will be adapted for future Corolla.
With development and production cost lower, the next generation corolla price will be more competitive internationally and its sales, and consequently greater.
the hollywood extra report that Toyota Corolla should be evolutionary instead of revolutionary, because a revolutionary design could not suit the tastes of Toyota’s longtime followers.
