The new 3-Series will get updated aluminum four-cylinder engines
that will have the latest technology including variable intake and
exhaust valve timing, dual sequential turbochargers, and direct fuel

It will come with both RWD and xDrive AWD and shares its design many design cue with the next-generation 5-series sedan.GT3 feature a longer wheelbase for additional rear legroom and more spacious luggage compartment. A full-length panorama glass roof with open/tilt mode will be an option for both models.
automoblie mag report that Star engines in the new 3-series will be a family of upgraded fours, ranging from 136-hp 1.6-liter to 252-hp 2.0-liter gas models and 150-hp 1.6-liter to 245-hp 2.0-liter turbodiesels. The top diesel engine also boasts a hefty 383 lb-ft of torque. The fuel savings over the current four-bangers range from 11 to 17 percent.
the 3-series GT will offer two adjustable seats with a center console in the rear and straddle the fine line between BMW SUV and BMW wagon in regard to overall height.
Like the current 3-series, powertrain and suspension tuning will remain sporty. But for those who want greater control, BMW will offer a three-stage driving-dynamics button similar to that of Audi’s drive select. It will sharpen or soften damping as well as steering, gearbox, and throttle responses.
