Ford plans New B max,here is rendering and information

The Ford B-max is a small MPV that is likely kinetically designed and downsize-powered. Based on the Fiesta’s platform, the B-max is expected to have many of the design cues seen on the Iosis Max Concepthere is Another Illustration of a Fiesta based MPV could look like.

The small B-max will replace, in Europe, what they call over there the “Fusion”.Which is a small previous generation Fiesta based SUV.The new Fiesta has been out for a while, so a new “Fusion” is overdue.With a new name.

Power is expected to come from a new generation of smaller capacity Ford turbo petrol engines – 1.0 litre with outputs from 90-110bhp. Also likely to be on offer is a 1.6 litre petrol and a range of economical, low emission diesels. And there’s bound to be a B-Max ECOnetic as well.

to produce B-Max for Europe in Romania, U.S. could be in the cards as well

Launch dates for the B-Max are still unknown, but it is expected to make its debut  by 2010, as a 2011 model. The U.S. could eventually get the car as well, though such a move won’t be likely until after the car is launched in Europe. Because the B-Max will share Fiesta hardware, it’s possible that it could be produced alongside the Fiesta at Ford’s plant in Mexico.

Ford is to use a €400 million loan backed by the EIB (European Investment Bank) to set up production of the B-Max at its plant in Craiova, Romania which is 90% owned by Ford. The plan is to produce 30,000 cars in 2010, but they expect to be churning out 250,000 a year with eighteen months.
With the news that production is going to start in Romania on the B-Max it won’t be long before we get some proper detail from Ford.
