2011-2012 Toyota sub Prius hybrid rendering and information
The newspaper, Yomiuri Shimbun, did not say where it had gotten its information. and Toyota, as expected, declined to comment on future product plans. Toyota has confirmed that it’s working on a hybrid based on the Yaris that’s expected to slot below the Prius .
According to the newspaper, it will start around 1.5 million yen, or about $15,650.At the end of 2011, we will see this compact Hybrid powered by a smaller 1.5 Liter engine.Gas mileage should be even better than the “regular sized” PriusExpect at least 65MPG..It will compete more directly with the upcoming Hybrid version of the Honda Fit.
The 1st one will be a larger Minivan like version of the current Prius for 2011.
A sporty coupe is also in the works.
