The German Suzuki dealers seem to have more confidence in the products of the brand, when the authorities in the European headquarters of the importer. That in the autumn, the mid-size sedan Kizashi will arrive at dealers showroom , as sales manager Thomas Wysocki told at of AMI in Leipzig (Leipzig motorshow).
Japan’s Suzuki , also known as producer of motorcycles and boat engines enjoys worldwide respect, has sold in 30 years’ presence in Germany 836,000 automobiles.
The four-door Kizashi, which performed on the Motor Show in Geneva , is arrive first in europe in swisszerland . the car comes in a four-wheel version on the market. In Germany, where Suzuki reached thanks to the scrapping last year more than 59,000 sales and a market share of 1.55 percent, the New Release machinery is only in the autumn start really. Then comes not only the first Kizashi unplanned, but also the new Swift on the market. The small car is present, with a third of Germany’s total sales of the brand Suzuki’s number one driving force.
Nearly 20,000 customers opted for the Swift, along almost as much as in the shunting models including Splash and Alto. However, should the percentage of the Alto in the future grow. Without the thrust force of a state support the sales of Suzuki is likely to level off at about 35,000 units this year.
Limousine competition is tough
The first Kizashi delighted the Swiss, then the car comes to Germany.
The Kizashi sedan falls in the future planning of the brand to more the role of the image carrier as the Bringer of sales. In the highly competitive middle class has to do with Suzuki, not only with the phalanx of German manufacturers, but also with ambitious importers, such as the Kia or Hyundai sedan with its own developments in the wings are. If each of the nearly 500 German Suzuki dealer takes on average two Kizashi at the man and the woman who, according to Thomas Wysocki already a successful step in the so-called D-segment would be done. The modest goals are influenced not least by the fact that no diesel engine on offer at first.
The 4.65-meter-long sedan comes with a 2.4-liter gasoline engine on the market, which makes 178 hp. The fuel consumption to EU standard should be below eight liters. Date is in the characteristic sloping roof line with a marked car medium six-speed manual transmission. Alternatively, all-wheel drive and automatic CVT transmission available. Although Suzuki is silent on pricing are still pending, but the desire to establish itself in the market, the amount likely to be so just press still acceptable levels.
A spokesman for Suzuki UK said the company is still keen to bring the car to the UK when the market conditions are right.
This may be possible if a rumoured a petrol/electric hybrid version is introduced next year. Unconfirmed reports have also suggested Suzuki could use its tie-up with the VW Group to source a diesel engine for the car, although this is likely to be a longer-term plan.
The Next generation Swift and the number “5″
For the future Swift plays the number “5″ . The engines of the small car will of course meet the Euro 5 environmental standard and also five stars in Euro NCAP test. The new Swift, which are well characterized in the fenders pulled into headlight lenses and a short rear overhang, also returns in the fall on the German market. When extended, for example, a van for commercial customers, or a combination of families are offering, sales manager Wysocki may not yet reveal only this: “In the medium term we want a full range” the Swift will get world debut in october 2010 Paris motorshow and arrive all european showroom in a few month.
