Fiat grande punto CNG and Fiat linea CNG will luanch in India in 2010
after launch of locally build Fiat grande punto and Fiat linea petrol and diesel
fiat are now gunning for CNG( compress natural gas) car.
The company is working on a couple of CNG powered vehicles and they would be introduced in the coming months.
“We are looking at the CNG option for Punto and we are looking at a launch by the second quarter of next year,” Mr. Kapoor said at a press conference here. The fuel mix for this hatchback, which was launched some months ago, would comprise CNG and gasoline, he said.
“CNG is ultimately going to be a fuel for most commercial applications,” he said, explaining the rationale behind the move, adding: “The technology is available with Fiat.”
