Suzuki plans to start selling a hybrid sedan in North America in 2011, using a next-generation system co-developed with General Motors Corp, AS report on Nikkei business daily newspaper
refer to a source who is a vendor working closely with the project revealed, “The company is expanding its brand image from a mini car leader to one that offers a full-range of cars including luxury cars.” He also indicated that the Dzire and Swift have done well in their segments.
The Suzuki Kizashi is expected to feature a 2.4-litre Euro IV engine and a six-speed manual transmission, which will be standard. However, there will be an option for an automatic CVT transmission. It will also feature paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel as well as 21-inch wheels.
The hybrid sedan version of kizashi is expected to sell in Japan and USA in 2011 but hybird’s version for indian’s kizashi is still wait and see.
