Honda sub b car (codemane 2CV) to have world debut in India by 2011-12

The 2CV small car, designed specially for the Indian market, would be based on an all-new platform, and would be the Japanese carmaker’s fifth global model in India. Though the timeline of its launched is officially not announced by the company, it is widely believed that the new car would be rolled out from its new unit in Rajasthan by 2011-12
The car,a Maruti Swift’s size will be The 5-door premium compact car, which would be positioned at A2 segment a below the Jazz superhatch, is speculated to be priced between Rs.4.5-5.5.(15,000-18,000 us dollar) Although there is no official confirmation on its specifications but expect a localisation level of approximately 80-85 per cent
The same car also rumore to produce the codemane 2CV in Thailand under ECO car project which have special tax benefit cut from 25% to 17%.
Another media reports suggest that Honda Siel Cars India is considering introducing its first diesel engine in its next small car slated to be launched in two to three years.
